Biography

The Goodbye Forevers are…

  • Jeff Mullins: Vocals & Guitar
  • David Young: Guitar, Vocals, & Synth
  • Stefen Madison: Bass & Vocals
  • Mark Willis: Drums & vocals

The Goodbye Forevers are a melodic post-punk band from Virginia. Their music layers heavy guitars, aggressive lead vocals, rich harmonies, and melodic synthesizer leads. Originally conceived as a one-off project featuring original members Jeff Mullins and David Young, the debut album was written and recorded in Dave’s Richmond, VA apartment.  In June 2017, after nearly a year of writing and recording, The Goodbye Forevers, released their debut album “Lay Where You Fall”. Shortly after the release Stefen Madison and Mark Willis came on board to complete the line-up and begin playing live.

Since then the band has built up a fanbase by playing shows throughout central Virginia. The group is currently writing and recording new material. After which they plan to begin some light touring.

Whurk Magazine, and regional arts and music zine, reviewed “Lay Where You Fall” and said , “A valentine to alcohol… [the album is] full production blast of Jeff Mullins’ tales of gallows humor and mental health stripped bare.” “each track [builds] up to a grandiose epic. Supported by precisely shredded guitar… New wave synthesizer and Young’s melodic background vocals help to complement Mullins’ seething whispers, which erupt into hair-raising guttural screams.”
